Answers to what people actually ask before signing.

No marketing copy here — just straight answers on migrations, security, managed services, pricing, support, and what a first conversation with us looks like. If your question isn't covered, ask us directly.

Cloud Migration

Moving your infrastructure without a chaotic weekend cutover.

The questions we get most before a client signs off on a migration plan.

It depends on what's moving — a single application server is a very different project from a multi-environment migration with dependent databases and legacy integrations. Most single-environment moves run a few weeks from kickoff to cutover; larger, multi-system migrations can take a few months. We give you a specific timeline during the consultation, once we've actually seen your environment.
Not for the cutover itself, in most cases. We build and test the new environment in parallel with your existing one, run a validation pass, and switch over during a scheduled low-traffic window with a rollback plan ready if anything doesn't check out. Any maintenance window is scheduled with you in advance, not sprung on your team.
Nothing gets shut off until the new environment is verified and your team has signed off on it. After that, we work with you on next steps: secure decommissioning and data wiping, keeping the old environment on standby for a defined grace period, or repurposing hardware you want to keep. That decision is yours, not a default we impose.
We run record counts, checksums, and application-level spot checks comparing the source and destination before we consider a migration complete. For anything with strict data integrity requirements — financial records, patient data — we document the verification process itself, so you have a paper trail rather than just our word for it.

Cloud Security

What "secure by default" actually means in a contract, not a slide deck.

Straight answers on what's included, what happens if something goes wrong, and how we talk about compliance honestly.

Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control with multi-factor authentication enforced from day one, current patching, and continuous monitoring with defined alert thresholds. These are built into every engagement from the start — not an upsell you have to ask for later.
The escalation path is defined before anything goes wrong, not improvised in the moment. Monitoring flags the anomaly, we contain and investigate immediately, and your named engineer keeps you informed throughout — what happened, what we did about it, and what changes we're making afterward. You get a written summary, not just a phone call.
We're not a certifying body and we don't claim a specific certification badge. What we do is build access controls, encryption, and audit logging designed with frameworks like HIPAA and SOC 2 in mind, so the environment is ready for your compliance officer or outside auditor to assess. The actual attestation is between you and your auditor — we build the infrastructure that has to pass that review.
Yes. It's your data and your environment — we don't lock it into a proprietary format to keep you as a client. If you move on, we'll work with you on an export and transition plan, the same way we would for a migration in the other direction.

Managed Services

Who's actually watching your environment, and who picks up the phone.

What's monitored, how fast we respond, and who you're really talking to when you call.

Server and application health, network performance, storage capacity, backup completion, and security events — watched continuously with alert thresholds tuned to your environment, not generic defaults. What's covered and how often it's reviewed is spelled out in your service agreement, not left vague.
It depends on the tier you're on. Business-hours plans get next-business-day response for non-critical issues; our 24/7 monitored tiers target under 15 minutes for critical alerts. That target is written into your contract as an SLA, not just a number on a marketing page — ask to see it before you sign.
A named engineer, assigned to your account, who has already been in your environment. There's no offshore ticket queue or script-reading tier-1 desk — if your engineer isn't available, whoever picks up has access to the same notes and history on your account.
Yes. Most clients start with core monitoring and management, then add migration work, networking, or DevOps support as the need comes up. Scope changes are a conversation and a revised quote, not a re-signed contract from scratch.

Pricing

Why you won't find a price list on this site.

How we scope a quote, and why we'd rather have the conversation than publish a number.

Two environments that look similar on paper can cost very differently to run, depending on data volume, number of systems, and how much risk you can tolerate. A published price list would either undersell what most people actually need or pad every quote to cover a worst case that may not apply to you. We'd rather quote your actual environment — see our pricing tiers for a sense of what's typically included at each level.
You walk us through what you're running, we review it in a consultation, and we come back with a written scope — what's included, what it costs, and the timeline. Nothing is billed before you've seen and agreed to that scope.
It depends on the type of work. A one-time migration is quoted and billed as a project with a start and end date. Ongoing managed services are typically structured month-to-month or annually, and we'll walk through which fits during the quote conversation — not after you've already signed something.
No. The consultation and the quote itself are free — you only start paying once you've agreed to a scope of work.

Support

What happens when you actually need to reach us.

Hours, after-hours handling, and how escalations really work.

Business hours, Monday through Friday, are the baseline for general inquiries and non-critical requests. Managed clients on our 24/7 monitoring tier get around-the-clock coverage specifically for critical infrastructure alerts — that distinction is spelled out in your agreement, so there's no ambiguity about what's covered when.
For clients on a 24/7 monitoring plan, an alert triggers automatically and your on-call engineer is notified without anyone having to call in. For general inquiries or clients on business-hours plans, after-hours messages are picked up first thing the next business day — we won't claim otherwise just to sound more available than we are.
Your named engineer is the first point of contact and stays on the issue until it's actually resolved — not handed off after one attempt. If something turns out to be more serious than initially scoped, it escalates to a senior engineer who already has your account history, so you're not re-explaining the problem from zero.
Yes, we take on ad hoc project work and one-off troubleshooting. It won't carry the same SLA-backed response time as a managed contract, but reach out through the contact form and we'll tell you honestly whether it's something we can turn around quickly.

Consultation

What actually happens on that first call.

What to expect, whether it costs anything, and what to bring.

We ask about your current environment, what's not working, and what you're trying to accomplish — then walk through, in plain terms, what an engagement would actually involve. It's a working conversation about your infrastructure, not a generic sales deck.
Yes — no cost and no obligation. You'll get an honest read on where your environment stands, whether or not you move forward with us afterward.
A rough sense of what you're running today — platforms, major applications, and roughly how many users or environments — along with your biggest pain point and any compliance requirements you're working under. Having a decision-maker on the call helps too, so we're not relaying information secondhand.
If it makes sense to move forward, you'll get a written scope and quote outlining what's included, the cost, and the timeline. If it doesn't make sense to move forward, we'll tell you that directly instead of pushing a proposal you don't need.

Still have a question we didn't cover?

Tell us what's actually going on in your environment and we'll give you a direct answer — not a runaround. No question is too small before you've signed anything.
